A woman who is sexually attracted to objects maintains that she began a romantic relationship with an airplane.
Sara Rodo, 23, belongs to a particular population group identified as “Objectum Sexual”, which means that she is sexually attracted to inanimate objects.
According to Sara, she has an overwhelming love for a passenger plane that she now refers to as her boyfriend. The young woman is from Dortmund, Germany, and although she has tried being in romantic relationships with other humans, she maintains that she has never felt as “complete” as she does with her inanimate partner.
She even has 50 replica models sleeping in her bed and she gets physical with them. She is so in love that she regularly travels by plane to be close to her partner.
Sarah loves to spend her free time watching planes, has two tattoos of her boyfriend on her arm and dreams of marrying the Boeing 737 called ‘Dicki’.
However, such a marriage ceremony would be considered illegal in her native country.
“I have been drawn to objects since I was a teenager; I first noticed it when she was 14 years old,” she said.
“Before the plane, I was on ICE 3, which is an express train,” she says.
“I also had two relationships with men because I wasn’t sure what my true sexuality was, but I soon realized that I can’t feel these romantic things about people. Now I know that my sexuality is objectophilia and I stay away from that, “said Sara.
The young woman explains that in her relationships with other people she noticed that she felt rejection of intimacy or physical contact, something that she enjoys a lot when it comes to objects”.
“It’s the best sex I’ve ever had!” she claims.
“My plane is called ‘Dicki’ and it takes up almost my entire bed. I love everything about him, but especially his face, his wings and his engine, they are so sexy to me,” she explained.
When Sarah first saw her lover, she fell in love with her instantly and now she takes regular flights around Europe to see as much of ‘Dicki’ as possible.
She said: “I felt love right away and I just want to be with him all the time; he makes me the happiest person.” I also fly very often to just feel and hear it.”
“When I’m in my 737, I’m over the moon. I love him incredibly, I feel safe with him and I want to spend all my time with him. I try to fly as often as possible and go looking for planes at the airport. I carry a small model with me when I leave home to feel like I’m always with him,” she added.
Although some people do not understand her peculiar love, she says that she has the support of her closest friends, who accept her and her partner as they are hers.
“I would love to marry him more than anything, but it is prohibited in Germany,” she says.
